I just got my computer back from being reapired and no I have no sound. I have checked all the wires and cables and everything is hooked up properly. I am a novice computer user so if anyone can help me out I would greatly apreciate it.

That would be difficult for us to do if you only give the OS. But if you have just gotten your PC back from repair, why not phone the person/shop that did it and ask them?

I suspect you doubleclicked on the sound icon in the system tray (that's where the clock resides) and checked if the volume was turned up?
If that is, then by all means ask the people that repaired your PC. You still have warranty on it.
