Hello, Experts:

Have recently upgraded my Win/XP/Pro to SP1.
Then followed that by taking in the updates since that time.

However I seem to be UNable to find any list of what has been applied and of my current status.
Start|CntrolPanel|System|General says "Service Pack 1" but nothing more definitive.
The MOST comprehensive list seems to be the names on the system checkpoints that were taken when the updates were installed. But it is transitory and fleeting with time.

Am seeking a good place (maybe a utility) to see a log of changes applied, regressed, backed-out, replaced, superceeded, etc. and a digest of the current status of the system.

Any advice appreciated.

Also my system now contains a lot of subdirectories named $NTxxxxxx$ and many files in windows\ServicePakFiles\I386.

Q. If I'm happy with the installation and the current operation, then may I delete these dorectories and files or must I keep them forever??

Thanks,,,
