Hey fishing ...
In order to do a CLEAN INSTALL you would need a Win98 OEM Disc.
Is there a specific problem or issue that your having?
Win98 is pretty easy to repair..
That's what we like to do is help...Grin

You need a OEM CD in order to do a FULL install.Or a RESTORE CD to do a Repair of the exsisting OS.
I don't think you need to do a complete install.
Start by doing a good cleaning.

Download and Install
Ad-Aware
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&subj=dlpage&tag=button

CHECK FOR UPDATES
Set these for a Custom Scan
click the gear wheel at the top and check these options:

General> activate these: "Automatically save log-file" and "Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal"

Scanning > activate these: "Scan within archives", "Scan active processes", "Scan registry", "Deep scan registry", "Scan my IE Favorites for banned sites" and "Scan my Hosts file"

Tweaks > Scanning Engine> activate this: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

Tweaks > Cleaning Engine: activate these: "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Click "Proceed" to save your settings, then click "Start", make sure "Activate in-depth scan" is ticked green then scan your system. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".
Ensure you Reboot after running Ad-Aware if it found objects
to remove, so it can properly remove them.

Next Download/Install/Update then Run
Spybot
http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10122137.html
Fix everything in RED

Run SCANDISK

DEFRAG

See how it runs after that...Grin

to clean your pc:

1. Start your pc in ms-dos mode
2. In the command line, write: format c: (if your harddrive letter is c:)
3. Wait until the formating is finished, then set in an startup disk and restart you PC
4. In the menu, choose: start pc whit cd-room
5. Put in your cd, marked WINDOWS 98
6. Write this whit enter between the lines:
E: (if that`s the letter on your cd-room)
install.exe
7. Follow the instructions on the screen to install windows 98
