PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:XP Home SP2
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:optical mouse
Error Messages:no error message the mouse quits working



i have tried 3 different mouses logitech microsoft and a micro inovations they all stop working in several different app's sometimes if i unplug and plug back in it will work sometimes not it did same thing before i installed SP2 not sure what to try    Thanks junlog

Your port may be going bad on your motherboard you may want to try a usb mouse

Batteries of the mice or still good? If you lift them up, the light shines over your desktop? Have you tried to move the receiver so nothing is in its line of sight? Did you try to connect them to the PS2 connector with the USB->PS2 adapter?

not a wireless mouse have not tried conecting via ps2 will give that a try
