Hi,

Can someone please help me remove 180SearchAssistant.100 from my computer...i have searched the internet to find ways of removing this, but because i am a total newbie, and dont know how to delete things from my registry i have tried using applications such as Giant Antispyware to remove this for me. The thing is when i do a scan with Scan Spyware V3.8 it still shows that the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\msbb is still on my computer and hasnt been removed. Please see below my HijackThis log and tell me what to fix regarding 180SearchAssistant and any other malware/**** you can see....many thanks in advance

Please download and run the following programs:

AD-AWARE

Install the program and launch it.

First, in the bottom right-hand corner of the main window
click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download
the latest reference files.

Then, in the main window: Click Start and under Select
a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

Then, deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

To start the scan, click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal
and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose select
all from the drop down menu and then click Next)

Restart your computer.

SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY

Open Spybot Search & Destroy (Click Start, Programs,
Spybot S&D (Advanced Mode). Click online, Search for updates,
Download all available updates. Close all Browser windows,
Click ''Check for Problems''. Anything that needs to be fixed
it will show in red and have a green check in the box to the left.
Click ''Fix Selected Problems'', Then restart your computer.

Run hijack this and post a new log

Hi,

i just run TrojanHunter4 and ScanSpyware V3.8 and its still saying that the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\msbb registry key (180SearchAssistant.100) still exists, they pick up on this at the start of every scan, i have read that this is a really hard annoying peice of adware to get rid of, is there anything you can do please...

Or try this first

Run An Online Virus Scan At Trendmicro!!!
http://housecall60.trendmicro.com/en/start_corp.asp?id=scan
Remove anything it finds and write down any files it says are uncleanable
(Write down the name and path)
