I read somewhere that Windows XP hasn't done well when installed on an SCSI drive. Anyone know if this is true or not? Any recommendations for controller cards that work well but are cheap? Thanks.

Cheap controller crads may be the problem at hand. Why not go for an established brand as Promise? www.promise.com

Promise doesn't seem to make SCSI controller cards... I'm just wondering if the rumors I heard that XP doesn't work well when installed on an SCSI drive are true.

I agree with Jee on this one Zedd.
I could not find any particular known critical issue regarding WinXP and a SCSI HDD.

Here are some places in the US to purchase a Controller Card:

TIGER DIRECT
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=509

PRICE WATCH
http://www.pricewatch.com/h/prc.aspx?i=44&m=704&f=10

Good luck  Wink

Sorry, I was assuming Promise made SCSI cards as well. Adaptec and Umax are good manufacturers, though.
