Hey,

Im a new member on this site and I have a problem that I would like for your guys to solve. The problem is that my Rewriter isn't visible in "my computer". Power is being given and the tray opens and closes. All the wires are connected in thier proper places but it still doesn't work. I also happened to swap this rewriter for different one and the same thing happened, it didnt work. Now, I believe it has to do with XP because thats the last option I have. I dont want to format my hard drive whatsoever because there isn't no Rewriter Visible, so how am I supposed to back up my stuff. So can anyone help me? Thanks!

P:S In "system" there is this yellow mark next to it before and after I swapped the Rewriter.

Hi CJ...welcome to MyTechSupport
Your CDRW drivers need to be updated.
While in the Device Manager click the CDRW then click UPDATE DRIVER.
Make sure you have your OS Setup CD(Win98/WinXP) or the CD that came with CDRW.
When asked for the location point to the CD-Rom drive and click OK...drivers should install.
Just follow the prompts then when asked Reboot your PC.

Let us know if you need any more help  Grin
