After starup I see this on the desk top

General Protection Fault Error, please delete file
  In a Windows Error box.
It can not be deleted, on right click, all that is there
is Move or Close.
What file needs to be deleted ?

Good question. Doesn't it say which file it wants to delete?
Not that Windows will ever ask you that with a GPF box, but okay. Are you running any anti virus program(s) that may give you this box? Have you run a full AV scan on your system, with a good AV scanner and updated virus definition files?

Use an online scanner to double check, or check your system on spyware & other malware, using this as a guide.

I just discovered the same problem. How did you fix yours exactly? This is driving me crazy.

Did you purchase  BitDefender  to fix it or did you take another approach?

Thank you,
Scott

Scott  I ran BitDender on line scan for virus and trojans
It found one virus and one trojan, and where they were I had to delete them.
It was a free online scan.

Scott The bad files that BitDefende found for me, neither one was
sys32.exe.
What to do from here I don't have that knowledge.

Try posting the question, be for you do anything.
