Hey biohazarddawg ...
Here...you can download msimg32.dll from HERE.
The file is compressed so you need to unzip it in order to use the file.
Download and Overwrite the file you have.
Try MSN Mess again.

Well I know one thing for certain biohazarddawg... No need for yelling or swearing...
There are few reasons this error happens...
We can suggest fixes,if they don't work then hopefully the next 1 will, but swearing and yelling won't get you another possible solution... Wink

Here ya go ... search it out.

Hi biohazarddawg

Have you tired to reinstall MSN?

If you still have your backups from HJT it's possible it can be restored.

Lets try this
Go HERE
and d/l SP1 again. I do not care if you already have it. When you go to install it, it will say something like: SP1 is already installed, it is recommended to exit this setup. Ignore that and continue installing the SP1. Reboot and now try your Messenger.

Ok let's make sure your .NET Framework is updated...

Download the newest versiom 1.1 HERE

On the RIGHT there's a DOWNLOAD button...

Click the Download button in the upper right-hand corner of this page to start the download, or choose a different language from the drop-down list and click Go.
Do one of the following:
To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
