First please move HiJackThis.exe to a permanent location.
This has to be done as HiJack This creates a log file.
We may need to use this to restore some of the settings that
are changed.
Click My Computer,
then C:\In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which
you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you
have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there,
and double click to run it.

Please download LSP Fix

Then use these instructions to remove the bad DLL:

1. Run LSPFix.
2. Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
3. Select 'aklsp.dll'.
4. Click the right-pointing arrow (moves it to the "remove" page).
5. Click 'Finished'.
6. Restart your computer in "Safe Mode" (F5 or F8 when starting Windows).
7. Delete the following file: c:\windows\system\aklsp.dll
8.Restart your computer and post a new hijack this log

Note:  My computer will not start up in Safe Mode when hitting F8 at startup. But I did remove the aklsp.dll as requested.

Thanks!

Your log looks good.I suggest you get a pop up blocker.I will include a link further down,Also to protect yourself

* SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
Spywareblaster

* SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
Spywareguard

To protect yourself further:

* IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
IE/Spyad

* Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
Google Toolbar

These steps should be done on a regular basis.

1.You should run a scan with Ad-Aware regularly (Keep the definitions updated)

2.Run windows updates at least once a month

3.Keep your antivirus updated weekly

4.I also suggest that you delete any files from "temp", "tmp" folders.
In Internet Explorer, click on
"Tools" => "Internet Options" => "Delete Files" and select the box that says
"Delete All Offline Content" and click on "OK" twice.

I have reopened this thread. There is nothing in your log that would cause the ad revenue pop up.Did you install a pop up blocker??

Not yet....but this revenue.net ad with the fish aquarium screensaver always popups up even though Internet Explorer is not open.  I'll install the google tool bar now.

OK...I installed the google toolbar with the built in pop-up blocker.  P.S. we were only on AOL when it popped up again before google toolbar was installed.

The only thing I can suggest right now is to run adaware and spybot once again.Make sure you have the latest updates. In the meantime I will do some more research on this.I have to leave for work shortly so it will probably be tommorrow morning before I post back.Let me know how adaware and spybot get on.I will check in from work later.
