Hi Malt64

What kind of repairs are you looking to do? If you do the basic maintence and cleaning along with using some adware and spyware scanners   you shouldn't need to repair your O.S. using anything other than the utilites that the O.S. offers itself.
I always suggest reformatting every 2 years anyhow.

If you click on "start"-"programs"-"accessories"-"system tools"-then "system information" you can then "tools" there are other options you can use with windows 98 2nd ed.
