Error Messages:No D: Drive

I recently installed a 4 way ubs hub extension.
Now I do not see a D: drive. By installing these extra ports how did I lose my d: drive. Not being as smart as your average bear when it comes to hardware, I am looking for any help that anyone can give to me. It is a Yamaha CRW8824E.Thank you in advance....

Goto - device manager - and check to see if it is there.

right click on my computer - click on properties - then device manager

click on the plus sign next to cdroms

if there double click on it and let us know what the device status is.

if not there goto - start - programs - accessories - system tools - system information

in there click on the plus sign next to components - then click on problem devices

in the right hand pane you should see the problems... post them!!!
