Operating System Version:Windows ME
AMD Athlon 2000xp, 512mb ddr Ram Primary HDD Seagate 40Gb, Secondary HDD Maxtor 160Gb, Nvidia G-force 2 64MB, Motherboard ASROCK K7S8X, DVD RW: Samsung 16x DVD+/-R/RW (TS H552B)
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Liteon 16x DVD Drive (XJ-HD166S)

Hi

I recently replaced a CDRW drive with a DVD R/RW drive and since then the DVD ROM drive has stopped reading CD ROMs/DVDs but it will play an Audio CD. I have tried a different DVD drive and the same problem ocurrs.  Also tried every possible combination of Primary and Secondary Master/Slave configurations. none of which made any difference. The DVD R/RW drive is working perfectly and both drives are detected correctly by BIOS/Windows. Also tried upgradeing both drives Firmware but that also had no effect. Now I have run out of ideas so any help would be appreciated
