Hi,
I am currently at my parents house trying to fix their computer. The problem is that their start page keeps becoming mycrasoft.biz and they don't like it. (For obvious resons)
I'm hoping you guys can figure what needs to be removed because I sure can't. Thanks alot for your help.

I run Windows2k 5.00.2195 SP4 and the only real problem is the start page.
I've run Ad-aware 6.0, SpyBot 1.3 and HijackThis v1.99.0 and the internet virus check you recommended (forgot name). No viruses found, Ad-aware and spybot finds 2-4 things everytime. (even if I remove them and wait awhile and run check again)
Ad-aware finds cookies and spybot finds:

Now, I'm assuming everything with mycrasoft.biz needs to go but this is obviously not all (I tried but they returned) and now I'm hoping you can tell me what's wrong. (Note that I removed some things using HijackThis previously to try to fix the problem. If you want the log of the first scan I did it can be arranged)

Again, thanks alot for your help.

You should empty your Temp Files, Temporary Internet Files and your cookies as these are places that the nasties can linger.

Please be patient a moderator will look over your log soon. Smiley

Thanks a bunch, and sorry for being impatient but I am leaving my folks tomorrow and I don't know when I'll be able to return. Either way it won't be the end of the world if it isn't fixed right away. I'll just do it when I return here (probably not until next christmas Tongue). No fuss.

Set Windows to show Hidden files and folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

**(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders. This is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)**

Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:
