Please help, I've got myself into a bad situation after inheriting a more recent model of a Panasonic notebook (Let's Note CF-B5) and trying to transfer my files from an older Panasonic notebook. The two computers run Windows Me (the newer notebook) and Windows 98 (the older notebook). I was intending to use the direct cable connection tool in Windows and a serial cable link for the transfer, but whilst arranging the files for sharing on the older notebook I have inadvertedly messed up the computer so that Windows 98 no longer boots up. Using a boot disk (floppy) I can now access the older notebook through DOS. Neither notebook has a CD drive (although I have a USB-connected external drive) and this prevents me loading up Windows 98 from disc on the older notebook.

So I'm stuck with an old notebook which I can access only in DOS. Is there any way I still get my files from this notebook onto the new one? An added problem is that the BIOS screens on both notebooks are in Japanese. Please help.
