PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:Startup
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:when turning computer on it says:
the error message I get each time when it asks for a password is: The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect.
I changed under
network icon not to ask for a password, but still does.

Hello

Boot to Safe Mode select chose The Last Known Good Configuration Option.

I've read that this error is caused by a bad windows update patch. It happens automatically when you have Automatic Update turned on.
Did you have a bad install on an update?

Thanks for the reply, tried the Last known CONfig--works while I am
logged on, but next time I turn on computer does the same thing, should I reload windows XP...

I would go to Windows Updates and bring your PC uptodate before going to the extreme of re-installing the OS.
