PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

My daughter has in her C:\documents and settings\jacqueline\local settings\temporary internet file\contentie.5 several thousand files.  Can they be deleted.  I am trying to run a complete virus scan on my computer and after running for four hours in the evening and 8 hours overnight it still was not completed.

This is not an emergency, I just wanted to know if safe to delete these files.

Yes there should be not problem with deleting these files. They take up hard drive space and are only really a convienience that helps webpages to load faster. Webpages and images from them are stored here to help the webpage load faster the next time you visit it.
