Operating System Version:XP
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Toshiba
Error Messages:

I have just got one quick question. I keep having problems with a virus that keeps popping up out of no where. I have put mu HJT log on here and have done what you all told me to but the problem still keeps coming back. I remove it he same way everytime and it last about a week and then it comes back again. My log seems clean as of right now but I will include it anyway.I was just wondering if there was a way to completely remove it. Thanks for your input...

Hey smokey733

Your log also reveals you are not using an anti-virus program.
AVG 7.0 is a free anti-virus.
 AVG Free is easy-to-use and will not slow your system down (low system resource requirements).

Highlights include:

    * Automatic update functionality
    * The AVG Resident Shield, which provides real-time protection as files are opened and programs are run
    * The AVG E-mail Scanner, which protects your e-mail
    * The AVG On-Demand Scanner, which allows the user to perform scheduled and manual tests
    * Free Virus Database Updates for the lifetime of the product
    * AVG Virus Vault for safe handling of infected files
    * Great customer satisfaction!

I strongly suggest you install an anti-virus program to prevent your system from being infected.

Try an online scan and see if you can find the path to it.

Also ..using the link for Windows Updates in my signature at the bottom of my reply..download ALL the Critical Updates as well as the Service Packs up to and including SP1...SP2 being your choice.

Your logfile is clean but that version of HJT is outdated...delete it and Download Hijackthis Ver. 1.99...it'll tell us more... Grin

---Important---Create a permanent folder
EG---- Open MyDocuments----Right click an empty spot and select NEW---Folder----Name the new folder HJT ---this is where you will want to save Hijackthis too, also, backups will be stored there.
Download from here
http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe

Do a SCAN----Scan will change to SAVE LOG----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log
here... Don't try and fix anything yet----most entries are harmless and needed.
