PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:


Please Help!
When i try to print anything a blue dos screen appears saying fatal error and the same thing when i try to conect to the net via my phone line, my modem says it uses com2 but only find com1 and com3 in device manager?
My operating system is windows 98 any other info needed to help with this problem let me know where to find it and ill update.
Ill also have to respond to this 20/01/05 when im but at work as now have no net at home.

More Information please, like brand & model of printer, plus how it is connected (LPT port or USB?) and brand and model of your modem. That the modem uses COM2 is possible, it doesn't need to be open in Device Manager, but if you want to check if it can use it, you usually do so in the BIOS of the PC. Some modems require that the onboard COM2 port is disabled in the BIOS, where others require it to be open. Sort of hit & miss that.

Are you telling me you only work once every 8 days? Smiley

The printer is an epson stylus 460, and ill check the modem tonight. As to working only 1/8 days, it was my birthday on monday and need a days prepearation before:P and a couple days recovery after.Huh?
