Hello. I seem to be infected with both of these. I tried getting rid of aaawebsearch before, but it kept coming back. And now I seem to have gotten infected with about:blank. Could somehow please help me get rid of them? Thanks.

Hi
First check you are not running HJT  the desktop or a Temp folder. Its best run in a folder of its own.

Make sure you  run 'CWShreader'with your browser closed(check for updates) and  as this will do a preliminary clean first. Some files below may not be present after running the above programs.

Then.....
Turn off your System Restore.See Here.Reinstate it and create an new restore point when your log is cleaned.Close your browser window and run hjt in safe mode... How To Run Safemode  and have "Hijack This" fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting "fix checked". .If any EXE files have been selected go into HijackThis/Config/Misc/Tools/ and open process manager. Select the  EXE files (if they are there) and click Kill process before deleting.

Folders that have been  highlighted in RED will need to be uninstalled. .Check first as some folders maybe uninstalled via the Add/Remove program.

Files highlighted in BLACK will need to be removed from your hard drive.

Make sure to have your system set to show hidden files and folders..How To Show File .

When done download Cleanup and run it to clean out the temp folders  Please post a new log when finished...

Yes, I tried in safe mode, but it still wouldn't delete it. Is there some other way I can delete it?

Download the Pocket KillBox http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/KillBox.zip
Unzip the file to your desktop.
Open TheKillbox.
Select the Delete on reboot option.
In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following...
C:\WINDOWS\System32\3he7nui49yttf4.DLL
clicking the 'Delete File' button (red circle with a white X) after pasting:

Nope, not even that could delete it! Not even on safe mode! Is there any other way to get rid of this file? Or am I stuck with it forever? By the way, I don't know if it matters or not, but the file isn't just "3he7nui49yttf4.DLL", it's actually
"3he7nui49yttf4.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll". That's not right, is it?

Sorry for the delay...
Download SILENT RUNNERS to a new folder,... Unzip if Zipped, and run the Silent Runners.vbs file.
Open the "Startup Programs.txt" file it creates, and copy/paste the contents to this post, please.
The "Startup Programs.txt" file will be in the folder you ran the "Silent Runners.vbs" file from.

Could you also update HJT to v1.99

This file will also need deleting..
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe
