PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows 98 / Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:CD Writer
Problem Hardware Make & Model:SONY CRX215E1
Error Messages:


When I boot my PC in windows 98 it is normal but in windows XP after finishing loading windows a message box appears "New hardware found"
and I am asked to installed Driver.
I am using Nero5. Disc Info of Nero Express shows "No medium Inserted or drive is not ready"or even when i start burning cds it says No Medium Inserted.
The error appears in both the Operting Systems

Pls help.Undecided

Thanks Cactus for replying.
I checked the link what you have suggested. Would this driver work for Windows XP of Windows 98?
After downloading how do I run this cdrom.sys file?
My drive is working very well for reading disks.
