Operating System Version:XP Home with latest MS updates
Problem Application Name & Version:Norton Internet Security 2003
Problem Hardware Make & Model: none
Error Messages:  none really apart from it's not installing

I had to reinstall XP due to problems, however the reinstall left the original s/w in the C:/Program Files/ directories. I redownloaded the Norton I.S. 2003 from Symantec as my subscription is still valid. The virtual 'CD' runs the install including all the "encripting registry" etc, untill right at the end (I noticed on the third time I had tried) it states 'rolling back' and does the rollback with no error or explination why...!!??
The Norton directories are at the orginal install/creation date of Sep 2003, and of course anything (accept autoupdate which runs through with no problem), run from those Dir's complains a .dll's not installed,  Any Ideas?
