PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows xp pro.
Problem Application Name & Version:restore point
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:


I went to restore my laptop and it will only let me restore to todays date, is there a way of restoring it to Jan 1st, 2005 and if there is what do I type in the restore point description? Thank You

Only if you have a restore point of that date. System Restore should give you a list of restore points. If it only gives you an option for yesterday, you don't have the chance to restore to earlier.

I was thinking on the same line as you, but just took a chance and when it asked me for a restoration point I just typed in January 1 2005, and it restored it to that day, I'm on desktop now but tomorrow at work will see if it worked, will write a post one way or another, Thank You for your reply.
