PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:XP
Problem Application Name & Version:OE 6
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Toshiba A90 laptop
Error Messages:


 ntuser.dat cannot be erased/removed. This ressource is used by another
user

Do you use the laptop at home and at work? If yes for at work, do you use it there on a network? The ntuser.dat is a registry file that holds your passwords for your (roaming) profile, so if you were logged in on it at work, just shut the laptop down (or closed it), before starting it up again at home (or opened it), you'd still be using the profile from at work... Just that the program can't contact the server to check.

Simply said, if you use it at work as well as home, make sure you close all programs properly at work, synchronize email etc. before shutting down Windows.
