Hiya,
Is there any way of tracking down the person/s or company responsible for the 69s*xsearch spyware? It took me a good chunk of time to finally rid myself of it, and frankly, we all have better ways to spend our leisure time than painstakingly removing intrusive, unsolicited programs from our computers. On the 69s*xsearch website, the "contact us" is a dead link. "if problem", the only other recourse I could find, leads to a site asking for $$$ to remove spyware. A clear case of extortion? I think I might want to set a legal precedent by hiring a lawyer to sue the bejeezus out of these creeps. Anyhow, any advice?

You'd be flogging a dead horse greasychicken .. Lips Sealed
There is no real way to trace them, the email addresses are masked and so are the IP addresses.
Just make sure you keep everything up to date and also be very thorough in your maintenance.
