PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP SP 2
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages: "Local Area Connection - This connection has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the internet or some network resoureces. For more information, click this message."

I recently installed XP SP2 and I would like to use the firewall that comes with it, but when I turn it on I get the error message below

"Local Area Connection - This connection has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the internet or some network resoureces. For more information, click this message."

When you click the message though it really doesn't help you. So I was wondering how I have to set up the firewall to allow my internet to work. Because it works fine then I turn the firewall off.

It shouldn't bother your internet. The warning is just there, in case you have a network that doesn't use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, meaning that the server sends out an IP address to all PCs in the network) and Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). By default the new firewall only allows 10 connections at the same time, so that could be hampering in using a network through ICS on the internet.

In other words, it shouldn't hamper you one bit.
