If you go into the device manager does the sound card show up? If so are there any yellow exclaimation marks beside it?

I'm going to try this again, please read this little ditty here, then at least leave your motherboard brand & model number, if this is about onboard sound.

3Com Eusynth (look at the name) is an application, right? It's started by the eus*xe.exe file on your harddrive. Tried starting the application by hand? Can you give the full error that it gives?

For as for an error message of "Cannot find hardware sound card installed but no sound.", well go figure. Why you'd want to update Win98SE with the Win98SE CDROM is beyond me, but you may have your reasons...

Thanks for disrupting more than one thread in this forum, plus telling us we don't know what we're doing, or can give out any help. reading English is difficult, writing it coherently must be more difficult. You at 33 and a shopsworker, I bet you overestimated your age when applying. Please don't take up any more use of our time.

Unlike the name does suggest, prof100, ladies and gentlemen, is nowhere near as professional as he sounds. Please ignore his advice and inform the Admin of any intrusions he makes in your threads.

Thank you.
