PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows ME
Problem Application Name & Version:Control Panel
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:Control Panel Folder blank.

Hi,

The control Panel folder is blank although at the bottom it says 34 objects

Please help!!!!!!!

I do not have a picture, but I hope this explanation is helpful. The control panel folder is empty none of the normal icons(like add remove hardware, add remove programs, system..... etc) are visible, although at the bottom lefthand corner of the window it says that the folder has 34 items.

Ok, try this: Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu, click the Advanced tab, make sure that Expand Control Panel is selected in the list of check boxes at the bottom, and click OK.
