PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
monitor displays silver and black vertical bands instead of windows or if I interrupt at the blue window screen with the space bar my virus check runs, shows no viruses then a screen shows "out of frequency" shows the hf & vf frequencies shows my hf is lower than spec. Also shows power management in (*)seconds then crashes. This started after I downloaded a jeopardy game from a cdr.

When you turn on your pc, does the bios screen come up ok? If it does, have you tried booting in safe mode to see if the display is ok? Try these 2 things and let us know.
