PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XPpro SP2
Problem Application Name & Version: AVG free 7.0
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages: see enclosed image.

Basically I done an update, I got the priority one, then run it again to get the recommended one. After that I was gonna get the optional... but I cannot get into it, each time I click the program in my start list it gives me this message:

Image Insert:
19.06 KB
Right click and select Save Target As... then rename the file as shown here and save.

Is there a way I can fix that without having to do a repair install of AVG and then having to re-download the updates again?

Try going to Grisoft's website and navigate to their updates page. Select the Optional Update from the dropdown menu and download it to a spot that's easy to find. Then update from a Folder, choosing the one you downloaded the update.

Then try the automatic update from Internet again.

You only need one update. Priority or Recommended are enough. They are usually the latest as well, especially when you download them via AVG

The Optional Update will include the Recommended and Priority updates as well, if you download it first.

Thanks for the help, I just did a repair and it's grand now. I don't know why that happened. Sorry for the time.
