I have windows XP home SP2,all updated and everything, the newest windows media player and a DVD rewriter with the NTI DVD-MAKER software.

I have just started downloading a couple of movies,(1st time ever) I get them at a P2P filesharing site.I wrote them to a DVD disk and also a CD disk from the downloaded files and I can play them back on my PC no problem but tried to get them to play back on a DVD player and a CD player so as to watch them on TV,I also tried to play the CD one on my sons older PC but to date, they only play back on my PC.
(They were in AVI format and I suspect my sons PC does not have the codec for AVI)

How can I get them to play on other then my PC?

At present,I am using NTI to convert them from AVI to MPEG to see if that will work.

Sorry for the lock, Wayne, but what you are asking is somewhat illegal on these forums. Well, somewhat: it's always illegal to download movies from p2p. If we were to help you burn them off correctly so you could watch them, we'd be aiding you. So hence why I locked this.
