i've lost the cd for my webcam and cant get it to work since i've re-formatted my hard drive. its the most ANNOYING thing ever!!webcam has no logos or anything. it looks like an a grey oval sideways with the lense in the middle, held on a stand and has a red light at the left hand side when it works (it looks really basic) on the wire it says

CSA LL64151-A AWM II A/B 150V FT1 USB CABLE

operating system is

amd athlon sephron 2800+
512 mb ram
48gig harddrive
geforce fx5600se

I split your post off of the other topic, as it may be better off on its own. Maybe that someone recognizes the webcam from the description. I don't think you have a picture of it, that you can show here?

The info on the USB cable isn't useful to say anything about the webcam, bar that it is a USB cam and working with that kind of USB cable.

I made a long exhausting search on Google, trying even as far as "+usb +webcam +brand +oval +shape +white -ufo" (without the quotes) eventually getting it down to 97 search options, but none that looked anything like it. Sorry, I failed. Sad

Hopefully that someone at sometime will recognise this webcam.
