PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Win 98se
Problem Application Name & Version:Winzip
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:CRC 93ddcf43

I am having trouble unzipping a file with Winzip.
I downloaded DVD Shrink from the net but when I tried to open it with Winzip I got an error message saying
Bad CRC 93ddcf43 {should be 40dfea8b}
I uninstalled both DVD Shrink and Winzip and then reloaded Winzip and DVD Shrink from a CD but still got the same error message. Can anybody help me get over this problem please.   Ted

It's entirely possibly that the actual archive is corrupted, which means that you can't extract it. Is it possible to use a friends computer to try to unzip the file? for testing purposes. I have had the same problem when downloading zip files from the Internet, and had to redownload, and on occasions it was a bad zip file on the server.
