PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows ME
Problem Application Name & Version:msn messenger 6.2
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:error 1603,installation msgs



hi am trying to download the updated version of msn messenger is 6.2,but midway thru installation,error1603 comes and its unable to install completely alongwith it another msg comes "could not open HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.2 verify that u have sufficient access to that key"
i dunno whats wrong with this and tried to download the msn many times now ,it doesnt even uninstall the prev version of it....
pls help

Error 1603 is an Installshield error. Take a look at http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q111019 for options what you can do.
