I am also having problems with this ewizard pop up. It throws me out of online games around every 20 minutes and is making life miserable. I've run a Hijack This log, so if there's anything I can do to stop this problem, please let me know

Start by disabling System Restore, which is something you can re-enable after the PC has been fixed.

Furthermore, make sure that Windows Explorer is set to show hidden files and folders. Click Tools/Folder Options -> View and check Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files

Another point to keep in mind:
Extract HijackThis to a folder of it's own on your system. My personal preference is to create a specific folder on my C: drive and call it HJT. Just to make sure that the logs are saved in a good place where I can watch the progress of my cleaning house, so to speak Smiley

Now download the following programs:

CWShredder
Spybot Search & Destroy
Ad-Aware
VX2 Cleaner
Stinger
About:Buster <-- you won't use this one until after we've made some amendments to your logfile.
Cleanup! <-- you won't use this one until after we've made some amendments to your logfile.

Now go to the following online AV scanners:

Rav Antivirus
Trend Antivirus
Panda Activescan

Let all of them delete what they want. Write down what they fail in dealing with and put that with the next log, when we're done with this process.

Then run and update CWShredder. Click the Fixbutton and click OK when the prompt CWShredder will shutdown any open Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player windows. Click OK to continue appears.
Wait for it to finish and then click Next and Finish.

Now install, run, update and scan your system with Spybot S&D.
When it's done scanning, check all entries that are marked RED and click Fix Selected.

Then install Ad-Aware and update it right away. Then scan and let it fix whatever it reports.
Then shut down Ad-Aware.
Then install the VX2 Cleaner and let it install into the Ad-Aware program folder.
Start Ad-Aware again and click the AddOns button. Double click the VX2 Cleaner in there and click OK at the prompt.

If your computer is infected

Thanks for all your help so far. I've tried to do everything you suggested in the right order. I tried to find and delete the files and folders you specified, but they were not there. I don't know whether that is good or bad! Anyway, here is the new hijack this report:

The only entry I see a reason to remove now is this:

O8 - Extra context menu item: Search with Freeserve - res://C:\PROGRA~1\FREESE~1\FSBar\FSBar.dll/VSearch.htm

Then open up Windows Explorer and navigate your way to Program Files. Right click that folder and select search from the context menu. At the prompt enter FSBar.dll and then start search. When that file has been found, delete it.

If you can't delete it manually, then you can do it via HJT.
Click the Config button in the bottom right corner, then click the Misc Tools button and finally click the button marked Delete a file on reboot. Navigate your way to FSBar.dll, according to the prior search. Mark it for deleting and it will be gone on your next reboot.

Apart from that your logfile is clean as a whistle Grin

Then head over to JavaCoolSoftware and download Spywareblaster and Spywareguard.

Install, run, update and enable all protection in Spywareblaster.
Install, run, update and allow Spywareguard to start up with Windows.

Those two programs do two very important things for you.
Spywareguard stops browser helper objects from installing themselves without you noticing it. Remember that most of them are NOT valid and should be avoided at all cost.

Spywareblaster blocks over 3400 bad boys from sneaking onto your system. Most of them are objects that infect Internet Explorer explicitly and much fewer stop Mozilla/Firefox from getting infected. Finally there's a batch of restricted websites marked with Spywareblaster, so they won't be able to install anything on your system.

I've done all that. Let's hope that sorts it out for good. I haven't experienced any problems so it looks like everything is running smoothly again.
Thanks very much Redaxe for all your help! Grin
