PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:win88 se
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:logitech
Error Messages:non

just built a celeron 300mhz running win 98 se 128 ram pc100
everything works fine untill a webcam is used then it make take a few seconds or a minute but the pc will just reboot.
i've tried 2 different webcams with the same result
at one point just having the webcam plugged into the usb port would reboot the pc every 5 mins even tho the cam was not in use.

i have a p2 350mhz also running win 98se and both cams work fine

the celeron pc has a diamond video card 16meg, and the p2 has a radeon 7000 64meg

thanks in advance for any help

Can't tell for sure, but it sure sounds like some sort of driver issue. It sounds like when you use the Webcam, the driver for it is loaded, and causes system instability. Does the rebooting happen at any other time/during any other activity?

Try to see if there are updated drivers for the webcam. If all else fails, call the mfgr. of the webcam to see if they are aware of the problem and have a fix.

Hope this helps.
