PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Win XP SP 2
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Dell dimension 2400
Error Messages:



First of all my ram is 256 but my comp show i only have 248, what can i do to make it say what it realy is like 256ram? Second question what is disk defragmentor and what does it do? With what program can i open well this is what my comp say about the properties of a File, Type of file= File and Description= usb joystick setup it a file that the company of my joystick sent me to get force feedback but i cant seem to open it so i can get force feedback what do i do. Please HELP

1. RAM: What kind of videocard do you have? A real card, or an internal one on the motherboard? If the latter (onboard videochip), it's well possible it is taking up the remaining 18MB of memory for videomemory.

2. Defragmenter: best read http://www.cyberwalker.net/faqs/how-tos/defrag-faq.html

3. If the setup file is an .exe file (executable), you doubleclick it and follow instructions.
If it is an .inf (information & setup file), you either rightclick it and choose Install, or you go into Device Manager, Sound - video & game controllers, find your joystick there, rightclick it, properties, update driver and point to this file.
