can anyone help

My P.C has windows xp pro running on it and when I boot up the activity lights on my usb fujitsu modem dont light up, it takes a second attempt to solve the problem to get the modem working because on restarting windows xp the lights on the modem come on meaning the modem is ready, this means in effect that I am having to boot up twice in order to access the internet via my modem. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated cheers

Have you installed your USB 2.0 update from and configured your BIOS to initiate high speed USB?

try plugging into a different USB port?

Might be a good idea to uninstall your modem drivers and then re-install them so that xp redetects modem in device manager.

Please include the description of your system as requested, else who knows.
