If you have SP2 and are happy to keep it you can claim back about 400mb from backup files that where made when you installed SP2.
Remove this file..C:\Windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$. This will leave the SP2 entry in Add/Remove.Just click on 'Remove'.It will tell you the file has been deleted and will then tell you it will remove the entry.....You now have about 400mb more space.
