Hi,when I try to launch some programs, but not all, they either get to the opening page and then hang or don't appear to launch at all, but when turning off the comp. these programs appear on screen in a box apparantly closing down.I re-started in safe mode and all programs launched fine. I have just finished clearing Malware using this forum and removed only one file on advice from System32 files that was part of the Malware. Apart from these program problems everything else works ie Windows, Internet etc fine. Please!, any help appreciated.Thankyou.

What are the programs? They may need removed then reinstalled. Malware may have corrupted some files.

Thankyou Geekgirl for the reply. The Programs are Photoshop7 and Nero. P'Shop launches in 2 windows, one small and other full page but remain blank and freeze. Nero seems to launch but no window or status bar entry, but as I said previously when I shut down computer, the program appears in small window shutting down.I thought that as both programs worked fine in safe mode then I maybe would'nt need to re-install but you are no doubt right. BUT , just between you and me,my copy of Photoshop was put on my computer by a friend and I don't have a disc to reinstall with. (Friend is 2 days drive away) I guess I'm stuffed then arn't I? No chance of a fix as is I suppose? Or do I get in the car and drive? I did try System Restore to pre Malware fix but no joy. Thanks for your time, and I love your little animation, very cheeky!  Foody
