My system has become overrun with Spyware, Malware, Trogan and popups for p*rn and other things. My problems started with a blue screen, a highjacked desktop and Explorer homepage caused by viruses. I read several posting and tried to adjust them to my needs. I recovered my desktop but my home page keeps changing. I ran the following programs: Nortons Internet Security; Ad-Aware SE; Spyware Blaster: CCleaners: XoftSpy and Microsoft AntiSpyware. I removed all items found yet, each time I restart my system, they were back. I have spent hours and hours trying to clean my system but this is beyond me. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I also need help with the followin trojans that nothing seem to clean: Security.dll and Security.exe. Thanks again. My HJT log is attached.

Hello and Welcome to MyTechSupport.ca

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

You have placed HJT on your Desktop. Please move to a proper location before doing the fix.
(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders or Desktop. A good place to make a folder would be in My Documents, as this is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)

Download / Install / Update / and Run:
Adaware SE check for any updates before running it.
Get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. You can download it at this SITE
To run this tool, install to the hard drive, then open Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection.

Download and install Spybot S&D . Run Spybot and click on the 'Search for Updates' button. Install any updates that are available. Next click on the 'Check for Problems' button. Let it run the scan. If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. If you keep getting the DSO Exploit entries, even after you updated Windows and fixed them, then download the Spybot DSO Exploit Fix and install it over the current Spybot installation.

Scan your pc with one of these free online scanners:
Panda ActiveScan
RAV AntiVirus
Housecall.  Be sure to put a check the box beside AutoClean.

Download DelDomains.inf

To use: Close all open browsers
Right-click DelDomains.inf and select: Install

This should remove those 015 entries.

Deletes all entries in the Restricted & Trusted Zone list.

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there.  Download CleanUp! (Alternate Link if main link don't work) and install it. You will use this later.

Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

Reboot your system in Safe Mode (By repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears).

Go into Hijack This->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click Kill process for each one (You must kill them one at a time).

C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr_.exe
C:\WINDOWS\sys2547.exe

Click > Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and uninstall the following programs:

Viewpoint Manager

Open Hijack This and click on Scan. Check the following entries (make sure you do not miss any)

If you do not know the entry 'sas.r3.attbi.com:8000', delete it.

Your log is clean. Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.

It would probably be a good idea to set a "new" system restore point.

Follow these instructions:

Turn off System Restore by doing the following:

Click Start > Right Click My Computer > Properties. Click the System Restore tab and Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives". Click Apply. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this then Click OK. Then you can go head and Enable again.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Norton AntiVirus found the following items:
    Threat Name         File Name:
 1. Trojan Horse        Security.DLL
 2. Adware.CDT          tool.exe

One on the programs that I ran earlier indicated that security.dll was located in: C:\\WINDOWS\System32Services\{EFD8402C-6626-429D-A5D2-C717EB57EB91}\Security.DLL

Everything else is fine. The pages are loading quicker and all the popups are gone. Other than the two items above, I need to clean out some of the item in my system startup. Can you tell me where I to post a help request? Thank you so much, I could not have done this without your help.

There should not be a folder called System32Services. You may see this though C:\Windows\System32\Services You can navigate to the location of those files and delete them. You must have picked them up after I looked over your last log because it was clean. Try using one of the online scanners again.

I can help you eliminate some start up items if you would like
