PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP Professional NL

Can anyone help me please? I am not an computerexpert, but I've done a lot to get rid of these spyware. I have Mcafee and it tells me I have a lot spyware in several .exe files.

I have run adaware, spybot, hitman pro and several other appz but, the spyware still is coming back.

Please look at my Hijackthis log file:

Hello and Welcome to MyTechSupport.ca

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download / Install / Update / and Run:
Adaware SE check for any updates before running it.
Get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. You can download it at this SITE
To run this tool, install to the hard drive, then open Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection.

Download and install Spybot S&D . Run Spybot and click on the 'Search for Updates' button. Install any updates that are available. Next click on the 'Check for Problems' button. Let it run the scan. If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. If you keep getting the DSO Exploit entries, even after you updated Windows and fixed them, then download the Spybot DSO Exploit Fix and install it over the current Spybot installation.

Scan your pc with one of these free online scanners:
Panda ActiveScan
RAV AntiVirus
Housecall.  Be sure to put a check the box beside AutoClean.

Download AboutBuster and unzip it to a folder on your the Desktop. Do not run it yet!

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there.  Download CleanUp! (Alternate Link if main link don't work) and install it. You will use this later.

Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

Reboot your system in Safe Mode (By repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears).

Open Hijack This and click on Scan. Check the following entries (make sure you do not miss any)

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/sp.html#12047

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked.

Delete the following Files indicated in RED and Folders indicated in BLUE if they still exist.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofnnq.dll/

Run AboutBuster and follow the prompts to scan (choose Yes/OK for all). It will ask you if you want a second scan, choose Yes.

Run CleanUp! and click on CleanUp! button.  When it asks you if you want to logoff, click on Yes.
Empty your Recycle Bin.

Reboot your System in normal mode.

Please post a fresh Hijack This log so that we can check if your system is clean.

Your log looks the same as before......Please follow these instructions carefully
You need to run the programs that I am providing for you. I know it takes time but its only to help you

If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. If you keep getting the DSO Exploit entries, even after you updated Windows and fixed them, then download the Spybot DSO Exploit Fix and install it over the current Spybot installation.

Scan your pc with 2 of these free online scanners:
Panda ActiveScan
RAV AntiVirus
Housecall.  Be sure to put a check the box beside AutoClean.

Download AboutBuster and unzip it to a folder on your the Desktop. Do not run it yet!

Also download CWShredder to your Desktop.
To use CWShredder, simply start the program, use the "Check for updates" to make sure you have the latest version, then hit fix".

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\mhynh.dll/sp.html#12047
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\mhynh.dll/sp.html#12047

If you do not recognize these, fix these as well. They are active-x items that allow external code to be run on your computer. If you change your mind later, you will be asked to reinstall them if you visit those websites again.

Hello, first of all thank you for your help.

I really think I did all of your steps exact as you discribed them.
The only thin is wat did you mean by DSO Exploit entries? Does it mean I have to run spybot twice to look if it gives any files a second time and when yes I have to run the DSO exploit fix?

I did all of the steps in normal mode until you said it had,
so before the Hijack This step.

Can it be that my computer was clean after all of the steps before starting up finally in normal mode again?? So that it means there is a huge gap in my firewall ?? Mcafee is on tight protection? Or is it just that I did not delete all files.

The log files are not exact the same>> there are other .dll files and other R1 / R0 files?? Or not??

A lot of questions.... I hope you can anwere them ;D8)
