PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows 98
Problem Application Name & Version:

I recently removed all Spyware(searchforfree.info) and have downloaded numerous Spyware guards et al. And done Cleanup and followed all guidelines from here. I have Ad-Aware se and AVG and keep them updated. I do not have a firewall.
In the past 10 days, I have received 4 times the Trojan 1BAOFA91.exe. Luckily AVG tells me immediately. Is there something on the computer that could be inviting this?

Please download HijackThis.  It will create a directory folder for you. Run a scan and save the log file.  Post the whole log file here.  Do not fix anything since most of them listed there are harmless (some are system required).  This program will help  determine what,if any, spyware/malware is on your computer.

I just noticed on the above logfile:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.bus.utk.edu/stat/msy

This computer was given to me by a friend, a statistics professor at the Univ. of Tenn. Is the above something that should/could be deleted or is it not important?

Yout log is now all fine.
If you wish to change your start page from  http://www.bus.utk.edu/stat/msy remove it from the log and change it to one you want.

You can do it manually by doing the following:

Go on the net and go to page you want as a start page..
Click your browser's Tool menu.
Select Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
In the Home Page section, click Use Current.
Click OK.
When you now start your browser or when you click on the Home icon, your browser should go to your new page..

My start page is always yahoo.com. Thats why I was wondering where the above link came from. I have never been directed there. I was very surprised to see it in the log  I have never been there and have had this computer for over a year.
Thank you so much for checking my log.
