PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version: Dell Image Expert
Problem Hardware Make & Model:  Dell Inspiron 600m
Error Messages:  Error Opening Database 2000



I have a Dell Inspiron 600m, and after I cleaned up my hard drive (deleted a bunch of temp files and some other old **** we don't use), every time I try to open an image (either the picture I already have downloaded in my computer, or other one I try to open from new emails) I get the message:

Run the System File Checker

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow   ( sfc if not reconized)

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. You will need you Windows disk

I run the System Checker, but after it finished, the little window disapeared and nothing happened!!  What should I do?

Click on the picture once so it's highlighted. Then hold down your shift key and right click on the picture. Choose open with and select Choose Program. Choose "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" and tick the box that says always use this program. That should do it. Smiley
