windows xp home edition
I am looking to access the registry because I installed a game demo and have since bought thr full game but when I started playing it I found it still functions as a demo game (which I uninstalled prior to in stalling full game.)
I queried the forum of the game maker and found several people were experiencing the same problem,,their answer to us was to clear the demo info from the registry.
Can you advise me on how to do that and what to look for please?

Before we go into the Registry try this application that will REMOVE unwanted Programs from your PC .. Wink

Download ADD/REMOVE PRO it's free.

Add-Remove Pro - Uninstalls and Removes entries from the Add-Remove Programs list of Windows.

This free tool shows you want is in the Add-Remove Programs list, which entries are valid, and allows you to uninstall or remove any entry.

After try installing the Full version.

Post back and let us know.

Thanks,,I will try the program but not sure if will give report on program {game demo} already deleted and there may still be something in the registry and of course it is also possible the game itself may be erroneous because apparently after having visited the gamesite forum,,there are a lot of users experiencing this problem.
I will uninstall and reinstall to see if cured and let you know.
Thanks again

Also check for save files and anything else it may have saved in your "My Documents" folders.

I'm new here and probably not the best person to respond...but maybe this will help.  I use Tweaknow Registry Cleaner and it hasn't given me any problems.  This might be a way to clear your registry of the demo for the unnamed game (prob BF2).
