PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:winxp pro build 2600 sp2
Problem Application Name & Version:explorer.exe ver 6.0.2900.2180
Problem Hardware Make & Model:n/a
Error Messages:

{1}windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
    {2}the instruction at "0x7c911639" referenced memory at "0x02378105".the memory could not be "read".
     {3}the event viewer shows-faulting application explorer.exe version 6.0.2900.2180.faulting module ntdll.dll version 5.1.2600.2180.fault address 0x0003426d.
applications suddenly stall or quit or you cannot get out of them

i have solved my problem .after much more drama {xp blue screens of death ||| i discovered it was bad memory sticks {256 ddr}it took 1 week and a fresh instal to confirm.
