Operating System Version:Windows XP Media Center Edition (XP Pro)
Problem Application Name & Version:InstallShield (ikernel.exe)
Problem Hardware Make & Model:N/A
Error Messages:"The InstallShield Engine (ikernel.exe) could not be launched. The RPC server is unavailable."

I get this message when I run the installation utility for the subject Belkin PC card on a brand new MiniITX-based system, and the install stops before it started. Checks show the RPC service is already running.

I have searched for answers both here and at Any suggestions, anyone?

Many Thanks!
