Hi, I'm trying to help my sister-in-law with her pc. It's an old Dell and she has no internet connection by choice. She never shuts it down, but this one time she did, and now all that comes up is the Dell logo, it goes to a black screen. It won't let me go into Safe Mode. I've managed to bring up the screen that gives you 3 options to start the pc. 1 to start with CD-rom, 2 to start without CD-rom and 3 I cant' remember what option it was, but I've tried all three with no success. For the main part, it goes to an A prompt and I don't hve a clue of what to do there.
I really don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any help.

You can try a repair installation

Boot to the 98 cd and repair the o.s

Can you boot into Safe Mode? (By repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears)
