I received an email over the weekend referring to My Tech Support.  I would like to send the details to someone...Sylvain or a moderator.  Can you please send me an email address to discuss this.  It may be quite harmless, but I would like to run it by you.

Hi Gere,

You can send it to me. If it has an attachment, don't open it. It is most likely a virus. Some worms (viruses) will scan infected system's inbox and use the information found when propogating itself. Since the FROM address in the messages of the inbox are valid, the recipient may be more willing to open the attachment. This is called "Spoofing" and is a big problem because legitimate domains are getting black listed when in fact they had nothing to do with the spread of the worm.

Since the forum sends an email when subscribed to a topic, thousands of message from are in people's inboxed. If one of then are infected, it propogated by spoofing the FROM address to look like it is coming from us.

Here is an good article about spoofing:

Send it to me and let me check it out...and don't open the attachment!
