PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: window xp professional
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I used to use adware and windows registry pro, but it never seemed to help. When i got the annoying winfixer i started to read all these forums about how to clean it up using sysclean, mwave and ewidow. but the problem now is getting worse everyday, there are so many new pop-ups that started to appear and i'm getting very frusturated mad by this non-sense, i've spent the past few days just reading forums and and scanning and deleting stuff. I'm a complete dummy with computers but i don't want to spend another hundred bucks for repairing that just reinstall a new window on my computer. Please help....... Below is my Hijackthis log, i don't even know what's wrong with it that's how dumb i am, for that please help this poor dummy......sad

Hello dummy.. j/k Grin

Lets' start off by getting rid of the main source of pop ups.

Please do the following:

Download L2MFix - Double click L2mfix.exe & answer Yes when prompted. Then click the Install button to extract the files to a newly created folder named - L2mfix

Close all open programs
Double click L2mfix.bat
Select option #2 - Run Fix - by typing 2
Press any key to reboot your computer.
After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, you will be presented with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it here, along with a new HJT log.

If you receive an error - \system32\Autoexec.nt is not suitable for running MS-Dos applications, you will need to visit this website to download additional files.
Please Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are told to

Please save the following instructions in Notepad. I have customed my instructions on the assumption that you have Notepad 'on'. It may lead to some confusion should you choose to do otherwise.

If there's anything that you don't understand, kindly ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. There should not be any open browsers when you are carrying out the procedures below.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DON'T MISS A STEP & PERFORM EVERYTHING IN THE RIGHT ORDER.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Please do not run Hijackthis from it's current location.
Create a permanent directory - C:\Program Files\HiJackThis\ & Re-locate all files to the new directory

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Start HijackThis & Go to Config> Misc Tools > Open ADS Spy
Checkmark/tick - Ignore Safe System Info Streams  & click the "Scan" button
When it has finished scanning, checkmark/tick all that it found
Click the "remove selected" button

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Please download these additional files/programs.  Do not run them untill instructed to do so.
Unless otherwise stated, they should be stored in same directory as the HiJackThis program.

CleanUp! - Install

KillBox v2.0.0.175

LSPFix.exe

Instructions for using LSPFix
  1. Double click on LSPFix.exe to run it.
  2. Once running, you will be required to tick the disclaimer - "I know what I'm doing".
  3. You'll find a windows with 2 panes.
  4. In the left pane which is labeled 'Keep', select all instances of this file:
    • newdotnet6_38.dll
  5. Then click on the arrow pointing to the right, >>.
This will move the entry to the right pane labeled 'Remove'
  6. Click the Finish button to complete the fix.
Only entries similar to newdotnet.dll  need to be removed. If you see any other entries in the right pane, move them back to the "Keep" pane & post the filenames to inform me.

UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FROM THE INTERNET WHEN YOU'VE FINISHED DOWNLOADING

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

    New Dot Net

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

CLOSE ALL OTHER PROGRAMS & ALL OPEN WINDOWS

Run a scan with HiJackThis & select/tick the following & click "Fix checked" :
